About Ten Tales from Different Cultures 10-Book Set

A beautifully illustrated collection of folk tales and legends from different countries and cultures around the world. Students will learn to appreciate the diversity of cultural traditions with this popular PYP series including 10 folktales — Korean, Czech, Malaysian, Australian, American Indian, Swedish, Turkish, British, African and Mexican. Each title is suitable for shared, guided or independent reading environments.

Learning and teaching support materials: Posters and Story Cards

Set of 10 colorful and interactive posters developed to provoke inquiry about key PYP elements relevant to each story. Posters are designed in ‘fill it yourself’ format, aiming to stimulate an interactive and creative classroom environment. Accompanied by a set of free sample posters to showcase optional key concepts, transdisciplinary themes and learner profile attributes.

Set of 30 beautifully illustrated story cards, three for each story in the Ten Tales from Different Cultures collection, that offer a range of practical suggestions for engaging learners with the ideas presented in each of the folk tales. On the cards, you can find: activities and provocations to support engaging with and reflecting on a story; key and/or related concepts from the stories; learner profile attributes.

Readership: the intended audience is students aged 5 to 9 years old, although learners of all ages may enjoy reading these stories and using support materials in shared, guided or independent situations, especially if connections can be made to the students’ inquiries.
