Horn Book Guide (Spring, 2002)
There is nothing subtle about either Parr's bright childlike art or his text in this large, bold book about celebrating differences. The examples range from the serious (a girl needs help from a guide dog) to the silly ("it's okay to eat macaroni and cheese in the bathtub"), but children will recognize the underlying truth that everyone is different in some way.
